What are the core advantages of moisture-proof, green and environmentally friendly particleboard

Moisture resistant green and environmentally friendly particleboard (made from wood shavings as the main raw material, with the addition of environmentally friendly adhesives and special moisture-proof treatment) combines moisture-proof performance, environmental characteristics, and the basic advantages of particleboard itself, and is highly favored in furniture manufacturing, interior decoration, and other fields. Its core advantages are as follows:
1、 Outstanding moisture and water resistance performance
Damp proof mechanism: by adding moisture-proof agent (such as melamine impregnated film paper, paraffin lotion) or using moisture-proof adhesive (such as modified urea formaldehyde adhesive, MDI adhesive) in the production process, the water absorption expansion rate of the board is significantly reduced (generally, the water absorption thickness expansion rate is ≤ 8%, which is better than that of ordinary particle board by more than 12%).
Applicable scenarios: It can adapt to humid environments such as kitchens, bathrooms, and basements, reduce deformation, cracking, and mold problems caused by moisture, and extend its service life (such as cabinet bodies and bathroom cabinet backboards).
2、 Green and environmentally friendly, healthy and safe
Low formaldehyde emission: By using formaldehyde free or low formaldehyde adhesives (such as MDI adhesive, which does not contain formaldehyde), or by optimizing the process to reduce the amount of adhesive used, the formaldehyde emission can reach the national standard E0 level (≤ 0.050mg/m 3) or even better formaldehyde free level, which meets indoor environmental protection requirements and reduces the harm to human health (especially suitable for enclosed spaces such as children's rooms and bedrooms).
Resource sustainability: The main raw material is wood processing residues (such as shavings and broken wood), achieving the goal of "turning waste into treasure" and reducing wood logging, in line with the resource recycling concept of green building materials.
3、 Excellent physical and mechanical properties
Structural stability: After high-temperature and high-pressure pressing, the internal structure of the shavings is uniform, with strong nail holding force (better than ordinary fiberboard), easy to process and install (such as punching, cutting, and laminating), suitable for making various furniture and decorative components.
High cost-effectiveness: Compared to solid wood panels or moisture resistant boards with stronger moisture resistance (such as moisture resistant density boards), its production cost is lower and its performance is balanced, which can meet the needs of moisture resistance and environmental protection while controlling material costs.
